BASIS Independent Brooklyn is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator Assistant to provide support services to the school's faculty and staff in order to meet the mission of BASIS Independent Schools. In this role, the Curriculum Coordinator Assistant is primarily responsible for aiding the Curriculum Coordinator in the management of all systems related to student schedules, teacher substitutes and assessment administration.
- Creating and maintaining student schedules
- Managing records of teacher substitutions and teacher activities (e.g. field trips, Term Projects)
- Coordinating BASIS Independent Schools curriculum and assessment process
- Coordinating assessment administration of external exams (PSAT, SAT, ACT, etc)
- Arrival/dismissal duties
- Lunch duty
- Recess duty
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or minimum of 3 years teaching or administrative experience and valid fingerprint clearance are required to work at BASIS Independent Schools.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with children. Work Hours: Ability to start as early as 6:45am on school days. Skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office. Together with a high level of personal responsibility and optimism, a successful applicant will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, achievement-oriented learning environment.
